"Embracing the outcasts and pariahs within our narcissistic society."

About

Embracing the outcasts & pariahs within our narcissistic society.

About
July 1, 2019

Good afternoon,

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern New Hampshire University earning a BA in English with a concentration in Creative Nonfiction Writing. I also minored in Legal Studies.

My non-fiction work addresses the corrupt U.S. criminal justice system, daily life in prison and the struggles long-term ex-cons encounter after decades of incarceration. Being an ex-con who served two decades of incarceration within the Texas DOC (TDCJ), I write with a voice of unquestioned authority. When taking a break from nonfiction work, I write Southern and Urban Gothic short stories, and from time to time, Science-fiction.

Personal interests include Charlie (my loyal dog),  cigar box guitars, am a connoisseur of cheap bourbon, tattooed ladies, billiards, Vedic philosophy and never grow weary from reading the works of Edgar Allan Poe, Anne Rice, Jack Kerouac, Hermann Hesse and Hunter S. Thompson.

Mission Statement

Creating a platform for my writing

Mission Statement Mission Statement Mission Statement
The primary aim for establishing this website/blog is to create a platform for my nonfiction work which does not shun the social pariahs & lepers our narcissistic society has delegated to the shadows. The aim includes providing a “voice” for prisoners and ex-cons who are, perhaps, the epitome of being a social-leper in U.S. society. The works found on this site are often raw, politically incorrect, unapologetic, and seldom unbiased, but then again, daily life for this writer, who is a pariah, seldom is sedate, politically correct, nor without bias.
